FastFolders is a great Windows utility which makes it easier to browse the structure of a drive or folder. Right click on a folder or a drive, select 'FastFolders', and move through all the subfolders without having to enter each of them to find a file.
Even better is the fact that users can move files to desired subfolders using this utility. Getting used to dragging and dropping files and folders to new locations using this feature takes time though. For a more comfortable view and easy access, larger directories are split up into multiple columns.
The program's menu contains a few customizable options, such as choosing position in the context menu, the number of recently accessed items, or include and exclude specific file formats in the context menu. It even adds a detail section to the list view of Windows that actually gives information when a lot of subfolders are present, something Windows isn't capable of.
In this new version we can find that FastFolders is now present in open and save file dialogs. Also, the folders are opened independently, without using Windows explorer. The developers accomplished integration with 64-bit systems and a faster setup.
It is fully recommended. Although simple, this utility results very handy, and includes features that Windows designers should have thought about a long time ago.
Useful tool to analyze your disk space and to present it in a graphical way.
